This term we will be introducing the Forest School here at Monkey Puzzle. This will give the children a taste of how we respect and appreciate our forests, parks, fields and gardens.
We will be focusing on different topics each week, like: mini-beasts, birds, leaves, flowers, twigs, branches and sticks. By the end of the term, we will have a ‘mini-camp’ set up in the garden to really have the children be at one with nature.
To expand on our topic we will be taking several trips out to the local parks where we will be investigating the woodlands, collecting natural objects and exploring the outside world. We will be taking lots of photos and videos, so please come on our journey with us. You can view these on Instagram and Facebook, and also on our website.
We are currently taking care of worms, which we will be setting free on our camping day. In fact, last week we started observing our worms in their natural habitat, where we are learning about how they survive and what they need to live and grow.
What an adventure our little explorers will have this term!
